Central Library

The Central Library first came into existence on 1 January 2022. The Central Library is situated on the 3rd floor, C Block, Medical College Building.

It aims to provide a user-friendly platform to all users for accessing print and online resources without any hassle, along with remote access facilities.

It serves as a pivotal academic resource centre for students, faculty, researchers, and medical professionals. The library supports the Institute's educational and research activities by providing access to a wide range of print and digital information sources, including books, journals, newsletters, and e-resources.

Vision

The vision of the Central Library is to provide seamless access to information in a networked environment and to become a prominent Learning Resource Centre with cutting-edge library resources and services in the field of medical sciences.

Mission

(1) To select, collect, develop, organize, maintain, administer, and provide access to information sources in print, non-print, and digital formats, irrespective of physical location, to support intellectual pursuits, learning, teaching, and research at the Institute.
(2) To create and deliver high-quality collections and resources, user facilities, and skilled library staff to foster an effective study and research environment.
(3) To efficiently manage information resources and actively encourage their optimal utilization.
