The Fort (Qila Mubarak) in the background represents the unique historical heritage of Malwa region and Bathinda's identity as the city of forts. It signifies strength, resilience and deep-rooted cultural values in healthcare.

The wheat stalks on both sides represent Punjab - the Granary of India. It pays tribute to the agrarian soul of the region which AIIMS Bathinda serves. It also signifies the role of nutrition and food security in the overall health of society.

The Staff of Asclepius with wings made of gold represents the traditional symbol of medicine, healing and the noble medical profession. The intertwined serpents signify balance, wisdom and rejuvenation.

The golden circular emblem represents excellence, purity, prosperity and the global standard of medical education and research that AIIMS Bathinda aspires to achieve.

The Sanskrit motto underneath -Shariramadyam Khalu Dharma Sadhanam - is the guiding principle of the Institute.
